Welcome to Covenant's Recreation Ministries. We nurture good spiritual and physical health through a ministry of wellness, fitness, and fun. In our Recreation Center, we offer programs to strengthen minds, bodies, and spirits, while using our facilities and events to reach out to our neighbors in Charlotte.

Gym Amenities

Full line of cardio (treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bike, upright bike, spin bike, and rowing machine)
Full new line of resistance equipment (chest press/shoulder press, pec fly/rear delt, lat pulldown/low row, leg press, leg extension/leg curl, and multi-function dual cable machine)
Free weights (dumbbells up to 50lbs)
Fitness balls, BOSU’s, battle rope, bars, bands, jump ropes, etc.
Free Wi-Fi and Parking
Locker rooms and showers available

Monday through Thursday:  8:00 am - 9:30 pm
Friday  8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Sunday 1:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Youth Basketball Registration

Covenant’s youth basketball sign ups are now open. We offer boys and girls teams from ages 5-18. Practices will begin in November and games will start in December (practice times and game times won’t be known until after sign-ups are completed). If you are interested in coaching, please email Kevin Harper.

Covenant Recreation Ministry Memberships

This is the best deal in town!  Annual memberships to our state of the art gym are open to both Covenant members and community members at large.  We have state of the art equipment, a running/walking track, personal training opportunities, and classes for all interests.

Pickleball

The fastest growing sport in America is at Covenant and we now have regular court times every Friday from
1:30-3:00 p.m. $5 drop in fee or free for Recreation Wing members.

Yoga at covenant

Yoga can improve your balance and flexibility, help with relief of back pain, ease arthritis symptoms and help you sleep better. Classes at Covenant are taught by trained professionals who design their stretches, poses and meditations to support a variety of ages and abilities. No matter your experience, you'll find our yoga classes to be friendly and inclusive. Email Kevin Harper for details.  

Baby & Me Yoga Thursdays

September 5, 19 & 26 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
This class is for you and baby!  Together you will move your body safely while engaging with baby. Class is very relaxed. Parents, caregivers, moms, nannies are able to feed, change diapers or do what they need.  Start with community followed by meditation and then a slow flow strengthening your core while opening and releasing your body.  Babies can join from 4 weeks to when they are on the move (aka...you spend more time chasing them around the room). This class is perfect for any skill level yogi.  Bring your mat or borrow one of ours.  Bring a blanket for baby.

Lunch Power Flow

Thursdays, September 5, 19 & 26 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Land on your mat mid-day for a quick powerful flow also grounds you for the rest of the day. This class is a power flow that will re-energize you for the rest of the day while also grounding your mind.  All levels welcome.

Fairway Fellowship

Interested in playing golf with other Covenant members?  Complete the survey and we will contact you with details.

The Recreation Ministry is looking for smiling faces that can help out at the front desk.  Flexible shifts, you can call the shots, and we will teach you the ropes.
