Special message from Bob Henderson
Bob Henderson opened worship this morning with remarks on how Christians can interpret and respond to the events of last week in a way that would honor our faith.
Bob and Suzanne's son, Will, works on Capitol Hill and remained on lockdown in an office building for several hours during the siege.
In his remarks, Bob called on elected office holders to consider how their words and actions contributed to a climate of unrest. People of faith, he said, can hold our representatives accountable.
"It is not enough to condemn violence while simultaneously taking political positions that foment it," Bob said. "It's disingenuous -- and nobody is fooled. Demand change - demand that they have positions that work toward a constructive America for all people."
